In combination with our FLATSCANXS detectors,
the CP120B, CP160B and the LiteX
are ultralight, compact and portable constant potential X-Ray generators that
have been specifically developed to provide EOD operators with the most efficient
solution for the assessment of any potential threats.
Indeed, compared to other generators available on the market, the CP120B,
CP160B and the LiteX offer a constant X-Ray beam that dramatically reduces
the exposure time required to accurately analyze a suspicious package.
LI-ION BATTERY AND FAST BATTERY CHARGER
Equipped with their LI-ION Batteries, our CP120B, CP160B (home-made 36V batteries)
and LiteX (Dewalt 18V batteries) generators are capable of performing 300 seconds
of constant exposure in a row, which enables the EOD operator to carry out several
analyses back to back. Unlike other conventional batteries, our LI-ION batteries
will be fully charged and ready to be used in just one hour.
A HANDLING FIXTURE THAT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE…
Careful attention has also been given to help make working on-site
both faster and easier. The strong, shock absorbing and visually
appealing handling fixture has been specifically designed to
anticipate the needs of the users. This ergonomic handle lets
the generator tank rotate, which in turn eases its positioning
in front of the object to be scanned, ensuring a wide variety
of shooting positions.
REMOTE OPERATION
Thanks to the serial port RS232, all of the parameters – including
exposure time and pre-warning time – can be changed from a distance,
which enables the operator to customize the shoots in a secure area.
The communication accepts text commands that are based on the echo
mode protocol but is also equipped for wireless operations and
Bluetooth capabilities on CP120B and CP160B.
On his side, the LiteX embedded a Bluetooth connection Class 1 as standard equipment.
“Being able to compact the Constant Potential X-Ray
technology into a 18 inches and battery powered generator,
to create the CPBatteries was already a big challenge for
our R&D department. But decreasing the size of a portable
generator, to fit the 12 inches of the LiteX has been one
of the ultimate test for us! With ease of use for the EOD
operator in mind, the design of the CP120B, CP160B and
LiteX was quite straightforward and focused on the
end-user. But fitting this state-of-the-art X-Ray
source into a save and powerful generator has been
one of the most complex puzzles our engineers have
had to face in the recent years.”
